The client had a clear request: “Create a warm and timeless interior where it’s a joy to work, with enough space to display a selection of our art collection”. Design bureau Wolterinck took care of producing the drawings for the design. In the beautiful corridor, a large number of artworks are displayed on wengé panelling with inlaid bronze strips that run on into natural stone skirting. Besides that, there are hand-made bronzed frames for the artworks. Floor-to-ceiling doors provide access to the individual offices. The various cupboards are rich in unusual details in bronze, leather or linen, and are all fitted with hand-made handles. The sucupira and wengé tables were skilfully made and finished by hand in Vonder’s workshop in line with Wolterinck’s design. The reception desk is also made from wengé with bronze grooves, echoing the bronze in the hand-crafted cloakroom doors.
